Colorization dialog should remember colors
Environment/Versions
- GIMP version:2.10.36
- Package: Microsoft Store
- Operating System: Windows 11
Description of the bug
I select a layer, choose Colors -> Colorize. By default the dialog presents a blue hue. I change that hue to shades of red and exit the dialog. I select other layers and do the same. I re-select the first layer and call Colors -> Colorize once again: the dialog restores the original Blue hue and I loose all my changes made to shades of red. Why can't a selected colorization, once applied, remain associated with the layer?
Reproduction
Is the bug reproducible?
Reproduction steps:
- select layer 1, menu -> Colors -> Colorization : dialog shows default blue; change to apply RED
- select another layer, menu -> Colors -> Colorization : dialog shows default blue; change to apply (say) YELLOW
- select layer 1, menu -> Colors -> Colorization : dialog shows default blue -- my original red shades are gone.
…
Expected result: 3. select layer 1, menu -> Colors -> Colorization : dialog should show shades of red
Actual result: 3. select layer 1, menu -> Colors -> Colorization : dialog shows default blue -- my original red shades are gone.
