Feature request: Allow labelling bytes + structs
Hey! This is a pretty out-there feature request, but it's something that occurred to me.
I generally use GHex to reverse engineer file formats, or validate that binary files I've written are what I expect. It would be wonderful if I could essentially highlight byte ranges and say "these 4 bytes are a variable called X", and "all these variables are a struct called Y", and then basically have some kind of tree view where I can expand and view the values.
I have no idea what the UI for this would look like, or how it would function exactly. But it would make GHex mega powerful :)
I guess it might make more sense to be able to define structures, and then apply those structures at specific starting bytes or something. Sorry I know I haven't really thought this through - I hope you understand what I mean :)
