GIMP crashes when cache size is set too high

Description of the bug
When I start up Gimp and navigate to a new canvas ( File -> New... -> {Tried a few different configurations} -> OK ) it just closes.
Reproduction
Is the bug reproducible? [Always / Randomly / Happened only once ]
Reproduction steps:
- Start up Gimp
- Click File
- Select New...
- a. Don't change anything, OR
- b. Select any preset configuration or modify to what you want to work on
- Click the OK button
Expected result: A new canvas renders to start working on something
Actual result: Gimp crashes and I can't work on anything
Additional information
The error report doesn't come up every time. If I can get one, then I will attach it to this issue.
