Open dialog defaults to last used folder rather than current directory
It seems like a variant of #74 (closed)/#88 (closed)/#382 (closed) is back again. When I try to open a file (Using the button, Ctrl+O or Alt+O), the file picker defaults to whatever it showed last, rather than the directory of the current file. This makes it very difficult to open a related file in proximity to the file you are currently working on.
This is seen with gedit 44.2. I'm unsure what the previously working version was, but the regression happened as upgrading from Fedora 36 to Fedora 38.
A quick fix would be appreciated, as this makes it very difficult to work with gedit.
