Line counter shouldn't have the same color as text
I'm on Gedit 3.28.x, not sure if this was already solved. The line counter column seems to use the same text and almost the same background color as the text, resulting in a somewhat confusing result. Furthermore, there is only a little margin from the text and no border, which does not improve the idea of separation between text and line counter.
Possible (complementary) solutions are:
- changing the line count column color to a lighter gray
- giving more contrast between line counter background and text background -> high visual impact
- changing the font family to a non-monospaced one for the line counter (it's not code/plain text so monospaced does not totally make sense) -> might create inconsistent height if not vertically aligned?
- horizontally centering the line counter text (the way VScode does that)
