Suggesting preferences remodeling

Description
Would the maintainers be interested in a remodeling of the plugin preferences? The current layout was inherited from the sourceforge project and is not very gnomey. In addition, with Gnome 3 the modal dialogs act a bit funky, do to the default »attach modal dialogs« policy.
I would offer to work on the .ui files if there is a general interest. I will attach a picture with an idea, i.e., to take the g-c-c »Printers« panel as a model.
There would only be one window with processors in a treeview on the left and the nitty gritty command line editing would be accessed via a button, just like the »Show« button in the model reveals the print jobs that are not normally displayed.
The default view would show /editable/ information: Description, file extension, accelerator.
The normally hidden view would show another treeview on the right with the editable command lines and an inline toolbar below with [ + | - | ↑ | ↓ ].
