Delay when composing email from PS/2 keyboard
In a recent update (I'm not 100% sure which but within 2 weeks), I started noticing a significant delay in keystrokes being registered when typing in multiple areas of the Geary application (0.25s to 1s of delay between each character). This includes but is not limited to the message composition editor and the search box. When I'm waiting for text to be input, I can still change the cursor location or interact with other components of the application. In fact, changing the text input location causes characters that are still waiting to be typed to input in the new location.
I haven't noticed this issue occurring in any other application on my machine so far. The keyboard I am using is connected via the PS/2 port, and I haven't yet tested this issue with a USB keyboard. I am on a Debian GNU/Linux 9 (stretch) 64-bit desktop with Gnome version 3.22.2.
