Make in-app notifications more immediate
Hi!
My apologies for the bad title. Here's what I mean:
Right after I click on the "send" button, or on the trash-button or save-button after writing an email, I get an in-app notification that tells me what I've just done and let me cancel that action.
I'm asking here to make those three notifications clearer so that their message can be promptly understood even without reading it.
Sometimes I discard an email and immediately cancel this action because I'm not 100% sure that I was actually discarding it, and I'm worried that I was sending it instead! This scenario is not helped by the current notification, that I tend not to read because of its length.
Maybe this is a silly example, and yet I believe that making the notifications shorter might help understanding their content more immediately.
Can you please consider to work a bit on those notifications having this issue in mind? For example, the recipient could be omitted, and so they could become:
-
E-mail sent!
-
E-mail saved as draft.
-
E-mail discarded.
If the recipient is omitted, these notifications will always have the same width, and that could help recognizing them.
Another idea could be to add an icon at the beginning of those notifications or switching the icon for the send/save/trash buttons with an animated spinner, with a normal/grey background, when the notification is on screen.
These ideas are just brain storming. What do you think about this suggestion?
Thank you!
