Large warning banner breaks greeter formatting

Description
Running GDM 3.0.0 from Fedora 15, we use a quite large banner message.
After choosing the username, the password text box is overlapped by the buttons (on Fedora the buttons are what allow you to choose your session type, and Cancel or "Log in").
This is cosmetic as you can still log in, but it's confusing.
Our banner is set using:
gconftool-2 --direct --config-source xml:readwrite:/etc/gconf/gconf.xml.defaults --type=bool --set /apps/gdm/simple-greeter/banner_message_enable true
gconftool-2 --direct --config-source xml:readwrite:/etc/gconf/gconf.xml.defaults --type=string --set /apps/gdm/simple-greeter/banner_message_text 'STANDARD MANDATORY DOD NOTICE AND CONSENT BANNER Use of this or any other DoD interest computer system constitutes a consent to monitoring at all times.
