blank screen using nvidia driver
login from gdm often fails, here are the logs:
I type in my password from gdm login page and then the screen goes blank.
Using CTRL+ALT+F1/F2 I can return to the gdm login page and I can type in my password again but this does not solve the issue. I have to reboot to be able to login (the next time that the problem happens I'll try to only restart gdm)
This issue happen using nvidia driver on xorg
cat /etc/gdm/custom.conf
# GDM configuration storage
[daemon]
# Uncomment the line below to force the login screen to use Xorg
WaylandEnable=false
[security]
[xdmcp]
[chooser]
[debug]
# Uncomment the line below to turn on debugging
#Enable=true
my system is configured as described here:
https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/NVIDIA_Optimus#Using_nvidia
any way to solve this issue?
Please note that the issue does not happen every time, basically 2 login works and 1 does not work so it seems some sort of race condition.
I'm using the latest gdm version
pacman -Q | grep gdm
gdm 3.30.3-1
libgdm 3.30.3-1
