Force clean the temporary subfolders (cache) on startup or shutdown when a single instance is running?
While a bit hacky (vs a perfect world where we could depend on the OS / system services to clean stuff for the app), in light of issue #191 I believe it would be a really good thing for File-Roller to ensure that eventually those temporary .fr-*
folders (wherever the current cache/temp folder stores these for the current running instance, flatpaked or not) get purged automatically, especially if they've got timestamps older than a day or two?
...because we never know, a bug might have prevented normal cache temp folder cleaning for some reason, so it could be good to force cleanup on startup/shutdown under stable/simple conditions (when there's only one instance of file-roller running). What do the maintainers think about this?
P.s.: I'm suspecting this could be a low-hanging fruit fix for new contributors; if so, I'd recommend adding the "4. Newcomers" tag to this ticket.
