7zip archives can't be updated - archive changes no longer bring up "update archive?" prompt
I can't update my encrypted 7zip archive anymore via the GNOME Archive Manager. I'm running Linux Mint 20 Cinnamon.
Steps to reproduce:
- Create a file with some text
- Right click the file from the Nemo file explorer, and hit Compress
- Name the file my-file.7z, and under the 'other options' dropdown, add a password. Encrypt file list is selected, volume splitting deselected.
- Double click on my-file.7z to open the archive manager. A 'password required' prompt will pop up.
- Enter the password
- Open the file, make some modification and hit save.
Expectation: An 'update archive?' popup would normally pop up at this point, but the trigger appears to be getting missed.
Actual: No popup - and the file isn't updated
A potential insight: if I open the file with an editor, make an edit, save, close the editor, and then re-open the file in the editor, nothing was actually saved from the archive manager's point of view. The modifications are getting saved under ~/.cache, but the archive manager doesn't seem to track this.
I can manually open another terminal and update the archive by using '7z u [path-to-archive] [path-to-cache-file]' - but the archive manager seems to be losing track of the temp file. So in other words, the save is getting saved under ~/.cache, but the archive manager doesn't see it.
