Dynamic layout shift due to status notification disrupts user experience
When Evolution starts in offline mode for example, it displays a notification banner at the top of the main window ("Evolution is in offline mode."). This banner pushes the lower elements in the user interface down when it appears and allows them to move back up when it is dismissed. This causes a dynamic layout shift that can be disruptive to the user experience.
Expected Result: The appearance and disappearance of the notification should not affect the positioning of the main elements within the user interface. The user interface should remain stable and consistent regardless of the status notifications.
Suggested Solution: Use an overlay that does not impact the layout of other elements in the user interface. I don't know if thats a gtk3 issue.
