Importing an .ics file from MS Teams uses wrong time zone
- I received an invite email from MS teams on my
/etc/localtime -> /usr/share/zoneinfo/Europe/Berlin
(currently UTC+1) computer. - E.g.
DTSTART:20231201T120000Z
. Note the trailingZ
which indicates UTC according to https://www.rfc-editor.org/rfc/rfc5545#section-3.3.5 Form #2. - I preview the "email": It correctly reports "Start time: Friday, December 1 13:00".
- I import the attached .ics file
- My calendar shows the meeting was imported incorrectly to start December 1 12:00 Europe/Berlin.
If I use outlook on the web to import the meeting instead, it is done correctly.
