Weird behavior when inserting emoji in composer
Hi,
I've noticed a weird behavior when inserting emoji (smilies) in the composer window, when using the colons and brackets : ) way to enter them. It works like this:
- when you enter a certain emoji for the first time all is OK - so e.g. a standard smiley :)
- then if I enter arbitrary number of same smilies all is OK as well - I can put in 10 same smilies in a row
- when I enter a different smiley afterwards it also works fine - so e.g. a wink smiley ;)
- BUT, when I want to enter a second wink smiley afterward, it is not substituted, but just a semicolon and a bracket is shown ;)
- any following attempts to enter a smiley in the same paragraph fail, all remain just as their character representations with colons brackets etc.
- when I enter a new paragraph, it is resetted and all starts from the beginning.
How this works in reality is:
- you write a mail and enter a smiley
- you continue writing some additional text
- next smiley is substituted, but the second one is not substituted
I think that the logic for this bug is that as long as you keep entering the same smiley it works. If there is a different letter or character or anything different from the first smiley it is successful as well, but all subsequent enterings for a smiley fail in the same paragraph. I've attached a screenshot of my composer to demostrate this.
Cheers...
