calendar tooltip indents summary depending on its length
I am using Fedora 36 Workstation with:
$ rpm -qa *evolution* | sort
evolution-3.44.2-1.fc36.x86_64
evolution-data-server-3.44.2-1.fc36.x86_64
evolution-data-server-devel-3.44.2-1.fc36.x86_64
evolution-data-server-langpacks-3.44.2-1.fc36.noarch
evolution-ews-3.44.2-1.fc36.x86_64
evolution-ews-langpacks-3.44.2-1.fc36.noarch
evolution-langpacks-3.44.2-1.fc36.noarch
evolution-pst-3.44.2-1.fc36.x86_64
I do not know if this is a bug or expected behavior. If it is expected behavior, close this ticket (feel free to share details). I am using a left-to-right (LTR) language locale. I do not know how tooltip indentation behaves with right-to-left (RTL) language locale.
steps to reproduce:
- start Evolution (local account sufficient)
- switch to Calendar window
- create appointments with summary lines of different text lenght (1 to 18)
- hover with mouse cursor over appointment and wait for tooltip to be displayed
actual behavior:
The shorter the summary, the more starts in the middle of the tooltip. The longer the summary, the more the text starts to the left. Starting at 18 characters it is "left-aligned" text.
Multiple tooltips manually merged into a picture:
expected behavior:
In tooltip the summary should not be indented.
notes:
In Mail window in the "To Do Bar" in the tooltip the summary is not indented, always starts at edge of tooltip.
