Show under “Categories” only options, that are really contained in the view, filtered by Categories
I subscribe to the online (WebCAL) calendar https://mail.aegee.org/calendar/AllAegeeEvents.ics . Evolution offers in the setup dialog to download the events from the calendar for offline use. The Account editor has the Browse button enabled.
I go in the Calendar view. The ics file has the categories “OMS”, “cultural”, “Network meeting”, “training”, ”conference”, “Quarantine events”. The Categories selection of the Calendar view contains none of those categories, but others (which are contained in no event)

The Categories selection in the Addressbook/Calendar/Task/Memo view shall show as choice only the categories, that are mentioned in the view below the selection (in this example : “Cultural”)

For ics calendars it makes no sense ot ask the user to download all data for offline use. The choices are: either download the data at setup, and anytime later, when the ETag changes; or download all the data each time Evolution is started. The second choice, makes no sense and is the default choice.

Enabling the Browse button in the Account Editor for WebCAL (ics) read-only files, makes no sense.
