Disable iTip message send when copy/move meeting between calendars
Hello,
I had an awkward situation with evolution:
The whole institution got a meeting Invitation (some presentation) and I accepted it.
Now I wanted to move it to another calendar. Apparently this is not possible in Outlook but it is in evolution. However, this lead to evolution creating a new meeting in the other calendar and sending an invitation to that meeting to all people who were invited to the original meeting.
(This lead to a lot of confusion at my colleagues who got a second invitation to that presentation and me getting >50 mails declined invitation)
In short: Moving an event between two exchange calendars on the same server does not move them but creates a new event and invites everybody who was invited to the original event.
Improvement suggestions:
- If it is not possible to move an exchange event to other calendars, it would be better if it is not shown in the context menu
- Moving the event between two calendars (on the same server) should not send out any information to other participants, especially not new invitations.
Best regards
