google calendar: "Declining" an invitation deletes it
When I get a calendar invitation, evolution finds the event in my personal Google calendar. When I then click "Decline", the event is deleted, i.e., it simply does not appear anymore.
I believe this is incorrect. The event should still remain, but with status declined (i.e., strikethrough font). This works when I click "Tentative", then the event remains and is shown with the current status (italic font). (Using the RSVP context menu in calendar gives me the same result as clicking buttons.)
When I use Google's web interface instead, declining works as expected.
This is on evolution 3.48.3.
This bug caught me: In fact, I had wrongly selected a shared calendar to which I have write access in the drop-down menu, and then I deleted the entire event for everyone instead of just declining my attendance...
For affected users: If you have removed an event accidentally, you can restore it from the "trash" using the web interface:
