Handle "Object is out of sync" during backend refresh better
Sometimes, when calendars are refreshed, I get this error:
The calendar backend servicing “<name of calendar>” encountered an error.
The reported error was “Object is out of sync”.
Stopping evolution and the related processes (calendar-factory/data-server) does not make this go away, and at the moment I'm not clear on how to work around it.

I haven't seen anything in the logs that seems to match. This is a Google account related calendar, but I'm not sure what backend that uses to set the environment variable for debugging as noted here:
