open multiple instances of same document
I'm running evince 3.18.2 on Ubuntu 16.04 LTS.
Please implement, at least a command line option, that enables me to open more than one instance / process / window of the same document. My use case is studying mainboard manuals. I want to, but i can't, open the SAME PDF TWICE and compare the PCB layout page with the block diagram page, which are on opposite ends of the page count range. It's not just mainboard manuals; scientific papers or business reports, with graphs and analytic text, legal texts.
As far as i'm concerned, implementing a command line option, that forces evince to create a new window, rather than refreshing(?) the currently open one, is perfectly fine. I'm comfortable to tell nautilus to "Open [cwd] in Terminal", tell Terminal to open new tab, which defaults to the cwd of the previous tab, and run "evince manual.pdf" twice, in each tab …resulting in two processes / instances / windows of the same document …which i could arrange side by side.
