Evince does not respect DialogsUseHeader = false
Hi,
Context: I hate the new "top buttons" in Gnome: they make the whole UX totally incoherent, where some items take the shape of big buttons, that are colored & displayed on top (OK/Save/Cancel/Print), whereas others selectable actions, yet very similar in their semantics (Save As/Open/...), are displayed towards the bottom of menus, in B&W, with a small font...
As a consequence, I searched for a way to disable this recent behaviour of Gnome apps. I found : https://askubuntu.com/questions/1031665/move-gnome-file-dialog-buttons/1053819#1053819
This works for Save Dialog of Firefox & Evince.
Unfortunately, there are 2 more places where Evince still behaves with the new (incorrect) way:
- When I start "evince" alone from CLI, I get the default GUI where Open is a button, at the top, and in big
- When I highlight some text, then right click on the highlighted text and select "Annotation Properties" in the pop-up menu, I get a Dialog box with 2 Close/Apply buttons at its top (see attached screenshot)
Please, make the UX of Evince consistent & coherent again
