Assertion failed in malloc while refreshing file.
OS: Arch linux as of 1/2 days ago.
evince version: GNOME Document Viewer 40.1
libc: glibc 2.33.5
This is very dificult to reproduce. Sometimes it crashes very quickly sometimes not at all.
output:
(evince:266340): EvinceView-CRITICAL **: 17:37:45.096: ev_page_cache_get_annot_mapping: assertion 'page >= 0 && page < cache->n_pages' failed
evince: malloc.c:4259: _int_malloc: Assertion `(unsigned long) (size) >= (unsigned long) (nb)' failed.
fish: Job 1, 'evince assignment_6.pdf' terminated by signal SIGABRT (Abort)
I cant reproduce it anymore, but it does happen regularly. I suspect that this is PDF dependent, and even then inconsistent.
This usually happens when writing compiling tex files, so nothing out of the ordinary or spammy like a copy/write loop.
My tex settings for vim:
let g:Tex_MultipleCompileFormats='pdf,bibtex,pdf'
let g:Tex_CompileRule_pdf = 'pdflatex --shell-escape $*'
