Design Flaw: One window per file => load > 105
I remember, when evince opened tabs if more than one filename was given on the command line. This behaviour has been removed a longer time ago. It sucked from the beginning, that each file had a seperate window now.
Just wanted to open more than one file with evince (too late I saw it were 400 files; to late tat I foorgot that bad behaviour of evince), and instead of opening a tab for each file, it opened a new window for each file. The load of my system was above 105. "killall evince" was not possible anymore.
So, I call that a bad design decision - at least.
Better behaviour would be: open a tab for each file as default. Allow seperate windows only with additional command line switch, that allows opening a new window, and have the tabs-mode as default. It also might be possible to start in tabbed mode and have an option "open (this tab / all tabs) in seperate window".
