Evince's own CSS overwrites the gtk theme definition for selected text
Hello there!
I think the color of selected text is somehow unchangeable with gtk themes: is this something you could implement? Normally this should not be a problem since most themes have the same color for selections, no matter where (adwaita -> blue). Yet, the Yaru theme in Ubuntu has an orange selection for everything but text. text uses a light blue for selection, since orange is kind of hard on the eyes
It works everywhere in GTK but not in evince, for example this is Gedit:
It looks like the color of evince is not theme-able since it is somehow "hardcoded" (please excuse me if this is technically wrong :) )
You can force it in the gtk inspector, but not with regular theming
Best regards, and sorry if this is the wrong issue for this, but I thought this could be better than to open a new one
@gpoo answered: "According to the code, it looks to me it should be using the one defined as background in the theme, if it is not working, then we need to figure out why, and where, then to proceed to fix it."
--> my idea would be to remove this section in the evince.css and see if the selected text uses the styling of the selected Gtk theme :)
