Add a selection mode for the browser history
Hi!
Currently there are two "simple" and extreme ways of cleaning the browser history:
- remove the entire history by clicking on the red button on the left of the dialog
- remove single entries by clicking on their trash-button
It is possible to hold ctrl
key > select multiple items > click on the trash button of any of them to remove them from the history.
In my opinion this design can be improved a bit. Indeed, the user can click on any of the trash buttons of the highlighted entries, while I believe there should be a single button for removing multiple entries altogether.
What I suggest is to use the selection-mode ( https://developer.gnome.org/hig/stable/selection-mode.html.en ) that could be activated either by clicking on a tick-button on the headerbar of the history dialog, or by ctrl+mouse click on any of the entries or by a right-click.
There might be other ways for dealing with this "multiple selection issue". If you consider to add this feature, I suggest to go for the "gnome standard way of doing it" which should be quite straightforward and tested.
