'Narrow mode' is unwantedly toggled in fullscreen mode at 1.5x scaling and above
I use Epiphany daily for web browsing on my 13,3" Thinkpad. Unfortunately, I am forced to do this in 'narrow mode' (with the bar at the bottom, no tabs at the top). I would like to use the 'desktop mode' though, with tabs permanently at the top.
The problem appears to be that the application decides there is not enough screen estate for 'desktop mode' because of 1.5x scaling on Gnome Wayland in fullscreen mode. However, this is my prefered scaling level to comfortably use the computer. At 1.25x or 1.0x scaling the problem does not exist (= 'desktop mode' is used). Same for free-floating Epiphany windows.
How to reproduce:
- use 13,3" display with 1920x1080 resolution
- enable 1.5x (or higher) fractional scaling on Gnome Wayland
- start Epiphany [fullscreen]
Expected results:
- Epiphany actually starts in 'desktop mode'
Actual results:
- Epiphany unwantedly starts in 'narrow mode'.
So far I could not find any setting to change this.
