Uninstalled web applications leave their icons in the application menu
An uninstalled web application's icon will remain in the pantheon desktop's applications menu even if the application is deleted. The icon will not be functional.
Epiphany: 3.28.1
WebKit: 2.22.2
OS: Elementary OS 5.0 "Juno" / Ubuntu 18.04 LTS
To reproduce:
- Create a web application
- Navigate to about:applications and delete said web application.
This seems to be the result of symbolic links located in the /home/"user"/.local/share/applications directory failing to be deleted upon uninstalling the application.
Navigating to the directory and removing the links manually deletes the icon.
Edit 1
Occasionally, the thumbnail itself will delete, but its name/caption will remain.
Such is the case with the lastpass.com web app in the image below
Edit 2
It seems as the icon, thumbnail, and symbolic links will delete themselves upon a restart, sleep, or logging off.
Quitting to the lock screen does not resolve the issue.
There also seem to be issues with the generation of thumbnails failing at random. I don't know how to reproduce this though.
