Canary uses extreme amounts of CPU, lags
Epiphany Canary is using >700% CPU (>30% of entire system) while scrolling the webkit://gpu page, and lags while doing so. Doing this in Gnome Web stable only takes about 20% CPU (3% of entire system).
It is using >500% CPU while entering tab overview, and >300% when opening and closing the main menu. Of course, the animations lag.
When run from the terminal, it shows libEGL warning: egl: failed to create dri2 screen
. Given that and webkit://gpu reporting llvmpipe rendering, I believe the whole app is using software rendering.
