In dark mode file loaded from disk are rendered completey in white
I use Epiphany 43.1 with WebKitGTK 2.38.5. I create a file a.html with this content:
<!DOCTYPE html><html>
<head>
<style>
:root {
color-scheme: dark light
}
</style>
</head>
<body>
<p>Hello, Peter!</p>
</body>
</html>
I start epiphany a.html
.
When the desktop is in dark mode, epiphany does load a.html, but its content is only displayed, after I click on F5 (Refresh). Before F5 the view port is complety white. After F5 the background is black and the text is white.
I close Epiphany and switch Gnome to light mode. The content of the file a.html is displayed, without refreshing (white background, black text).
As the MiniBrowser does ignore the light/dark desktop preference, this is not reproducible there. I do not have Safari to test.
- Epiphany shall display the content of the file in black mode, without the need to F5 (Reload) the file.
