Cpu consumption doesn't decrease when the browser window is minimized
I've noticed that if I minimize an epiphany window that is showing some web content the cpu consumption is not affected, while if I visit the same webpage (any page) from another browser (I tested it from firefox, chromium and brave) and then I minimize the window, the cpu load sharply decreases when the window is minimized.
I'm running pop os 20.04, gnome 3.36.2 and web 3.36.1 .
We are not talking about particularly high cpu consumptions, but I always try to optimize what is running in background in order to save some battery juice on my laptop.
Is there a way to debug and correct this behaviour? Thanks
