Drag&Drop to Nautilus breaks after a while
I had about 1500 images in a directory. I was going through them one at a time in the Image Viewer (by pressing the right arrow key). I would sometimes delete the image, and sometimes drag&drop it to another directory opened in Files.
After a few hundred images, the bug started happening. There were two different symptoms, but I'm assuming it's the same bug:
- It tried copying the wrong file - an image I had already copied earlier - so Files would ask me if I wanted to overwrite it. The filename in the Image Viewer titlebar is the one I was copying, but that's not what showed up in the dialog box:
- It gave me "An invalid drag type was used" error message:
This could easily be a Files bug, though. I ended up restarting both Files and Image Viewer, and the bug eventually went away - but can't remember when exactly. Then the bug happened again after another few hundred images.
I'm using:
- Fedora 29
- Files 3.30.5-stable
- Image Viewer 3.28.4
Also, here's the journalctl output from the time the bug happened. There are errors from both eog and nautilus - though they don't quite match the time in the clock in the screenshots. journal.txt
