Having a checkerboard below the custom background color for transparent areas
For transparent areas, I’d like to use a white background color with deminished opacity, so that I would still see a bright checkerboard shining through. With the white color, the view of drawings on transparent backgrounds is much better than with a checkerboard, yet without a checkerboard at all, you wouldn’t be able to notice transparent areas anymore, nor would people see the difference between transparent areas and elements which have their background-color (white in this case).
Currently, when I reduce the opacity of the user-defined color for transparent areas, I just get a more grey shade, as the background is the Adwaita-dark background color.
Would you like to add an option to have a checkerboard as the background below the user-defined color? I think this would really improve the view of images with large transparent areas.
