Feature request: File Scanner: File name conversion
I wish I could use File Scanner (aka Tag and Filename Scanner) to rename my files to %a/%y_%b/%n_-_%t
. However:
-
I am not sure if it would automatically create directories (
%a
and%y_%b
); I presume yes; -
when a tag is missing, it would be nice if the Scanner could automatically remove the underscore (
_
); e.g. if%y
is not set, the directory name should be%b
only, not_%b
and vice versa; I would recommend using round brackets / parenthesis ((
and)
) to enclose information, but it would need a condition somehow to be set when should the enclosed content be removed; -
in
%b
and%a
: when these tags are not set, the folder should be namedUnknown
; there should be an option in the Preferences to change this name (separately for%b
and%a
); -
an option to convert all letters in file names to lower-case (or upper-case).
All in all, all I want is to use %a/%y_%b/%n_-_%t
to convert file names like this (note: I want all the file names to be lower-case):
-
when all tags are set:
%a/%y_%b/%n_-_%t
; -
when
%a
is not set:unknown/%y_%b/%n_-_%t
; -
when
%y
is not set:%a/%b/%n_-_%t
; -
when
%b
is not set:%a/%y_unknown/%n_-_%t
; -
when both
%y
and%b
are not set:%a/unknown/%n_-_%t
; -
when
%n
is not set:%a/%y_%b/%t
.
