Description
Created attachment 368545 Screenshot of Configurator.
I found browsing the Web a similar app designed for Elementary OS, called Configurator[1], dev’ed in 2015. One interesting thing it has is to offer some coder help as a property of a key, like:
Command dconf read /ca/desrt/dconf-editor/demo/string-nullable
Vala Code var val = new Settings ("ca.desrt.dconf-editor.Demo").get_value ("string-nullable");
While “of course” offering to read value using dconf
is a bad idea (notably in this application, that displays in its sidebar a treeview based on schemas), something like that is already in dconf-editor
with the “descriptor” of a key, that has a format more or less similar to the one of the gsettings
tool.
And the code snippet is an interesting idea, that is maybe hard to design, but that could help some people (initial code suggestion could be in Python for example, a language that is clear to read and used by many newbies).
