Tidy up confirmation of deleted connections

Chris Heywood requested to merge cheywood/connections:30-deleted-connections-cleanup into master
  • Any pending deletions are now processed when exiting
  • A timeout is added for non-auth notifications

WIP as I'm needing to hold a reference to the notification bar in the Application to avoid early destruction but have the feeling there's a cleaner way? (.. and I'm effectively doing the same thing with active_notification in NotificationBar).
