In the new connection dialog, VNC being standard for Linux and RDP being standard for Windows isn't accurate anymore
In assistant.ui, these two lines:
<property name="label" translatable="yes">RDP (standard for connecting to Windows)</property>
<property name="label" translatable="yes">VNC (standard for connecting to Linux)</property>
…are not really true anymore. GNOME Remote Desktop defaults to RDP as its main (and only official) protocol since GNOME 41-42 or so, and GNOME Settings does not offer a UI for configuring a VNC host with G-R-D anymore. Since GNOME has the best easy-to-set-up host implementation out of the box, I would say it holds a lot of weight.
Maybe the wording should now be about the VNC protocol being an older and slower legacy protocol, whereas RDP has much better performance (and also happens to be the default on Windows and GNOME hosts)?
