Description
A few suggestions for improving the "Image Burning Setup" dialog.
- No need to offer to select a disc image since I've already done that through nautilus
- No need to print the entire path - just the filename is enough
- Convert the button label to a label and use enough room to show the filename if it is reasonably sized.
- Would be good if this dialog matched the action that invoked it through nautilus, which is currently: "Write to disc".
- In this dialog you use "MB" for the size but when writing you use "MiB" - better to be at least internally consistent
- When there is no disc in the drive I told about this in three different ways: "No available disc", "Please insert a recordable CD or DVD.", "There is no recordable disc inserted." Probably only need to tell me once.
- "No available disc" (if needed) would be better as "No disc available".
- "There is no recordable disc inserted." inserted doesn't really make sense here.
- Probably can rework this so the text is more clear and concise.
- Once I put in a blank disc it is pretty strange to show a progress bar and list the "free space" available. It is blank and is all free space.
- The term "recordable" is a little awkward. Writable is a little more standard here.
- Should probably allow me to eject the current disc if it isn't the one I want
I'll make a mockup and attach it shortly...
