Can't copy CD to ISO or TOC/BIN or CUE/BIN possibly due to forward slash in volume name?
So I've been archiving a retail boxed copy of Red Hat Linux 7.3 (nope, not RHEL... the OLD version of Red Hat :P) and I've used the 'Data Copy' button just fine to backup some discs (like the Documentation CD) to ISO just fine.
But the main 3 installation discs give me this error...
So it's not only recommending an inappropriate name (the forward slash won't work in a filename) but it also says 'The data size is too large for the disc even with the overburn option.'
This makes no sense as the destination is not a disc, it's a file!
My only reason for thinking it's the forward slash in the volume name... is because I've done other discs which didn't have a forward slash in them and didn't get this issue - so it's just a guess.
dd work just fine though for backing up these discs... who needs a fancy GUI eh? :)
