Description
The cover editor is a very nice tool but it would be even better with a few tweaks to the GUI.
-
make it open a bit wider so that the covers and toolbar fit into the window without scrolling. Right now the first thing I do is resizing the dialog (and I guess most users do this)
-
Give the ability to save and load covers for later use
-
move the print button to the bottom to improve the dialog-look and workflow. The bottom right should have the three "choices" a user has to "end" the cover dialog: save, print, close. I wonder if it would even be nice to keep the current changes if the user closes the dialog (which would need a clean button in the toolbar)
-
add separators before and after the text position buttons
-
make the background image properties accessible from the toolbar. Right now you have to right-click the cover to find this hidden option.
-
remove the second line around the cover widget.
