Unable to disable plugins in 2.32

Description
I use Fedora 14. Installing brasero there also installs libburn and wodim as dependancies. Buring discs with those backends is very slow and not very reliable, though. I have installed cdrecord3 myself and in previous versions I was able to trick brasero into using it by changing plugin priorities. Now, this does not seem to work anymore, the log shows libburn and readom being used even while the gconf keys are set to -1 for those (log attached).
I tested disabling other plugins but even with -1 they still show up with a checkmark in the plugin window, meaning they are active?
Right now the only way to get a good burning experience is manually deleting some of the plugins (libbrasero-wodim.so libbrasero-readom.so libbrasero-genisoimage.so libbrasero-libburn.so libbrasero-libisofs.so)
