Description
Brasero 2.30.2 doesn't recognize my CD/DVD-writer which is according to cdrecord -checkdrive:
Device was not specified. Trying to find an appropriate drive... Detected CD-R drive: /dev/cdrw Using /dev/cdrom of unknown capabilities Device type : Removable CD-ROM Version : 5 Response Format: 2 Capabilities : Vendor_info : 'Optiarc ' Identification : 'DVD RW AD-7590S ' Revision : '1.02' Device seems to be: Generic mmc2 DVD-R/DVD-RW. Using generic SCSI-3/mmc DVD-R(W) driver (mmc_mdvd). Driver flags : SWABAUDIO BURNFREE Supported modes: PACKET SAO
When starting brasero with --device=/dev/sr0 I get a floating point exceptions (as already reported in Bug 627005).
I'm running brasero remotely over ssh on a Ubuntu server, meaning I only installed brasero (plus dependencies) - no complete Gnome environment. Are there any further dependencies for the device recovery to work properly?
Btw: hal is installed and running although I think it's not needed anymore?
Version: 2.30.x
