Description
Created attachment 171343 Photograph of errors during live boot
I am using Ubuntu Lucid 10.4 (fully updated) with the standard Brasero (v 2.30.2).
On my system the problem can be reproduced at will as follows: (1) download clonezilla-live-1.2.6-24-i686.iso (previous version also had the problem) (2) verify md5 (3) use brasero to burn to a CD-RW 4x-12x (I currently use TDK cd's) (4) boot the system to clonezilla - default options
The boot always fails with errors - see the attached photograph.
I remember that the problem also occurred with some other iso's (but not all) - for my investigation I used clonezilla.
This problem only (and always) occurs when preparing the clonezilla Live CD with Brasero. The problem never occurs when using wodim from the terminal, or infra record on XP.
I have verified the problem using 2 different drives (Samsung SH-S202J and Plextor PX-708A) as well as different media.
The successful command I used with wodim was: wodim dev=/dev/sr1 driveropts=burnfree,noforcespeed fs=14M speed=8 -dao -eject -v Desktop/clonezilla-live-1.2.6-24-i686.iso
I found the following article useful: http://manual.sidux.com/en/cd-no-gui-burn-en.htm.
