IMAP mailbox: bold-face “unread messages” indicator may be misleading
If an IMAP mailbox is used by more than one MUA in parallel, the bold-face mailbox name in the mailbox tree may wrongly indicate that unread messages are present.
To reproduce:
- Open the IMAP mailbox in Balsa and in a second MUA.
- Wait until a new message arrives. Balsa lists the message and prints the mailbox name in bold to indicate that it contains unread messages.
- In the second MUA, erase the new message.
- After a short while, Balsa removes the message from the list, but the mailbox name is still printed in bold, which is a little confusing.
Note: the same effect happens if in step 3. a different MUA downloads the messages from the mailbox using POP3.
