balsa prints "Network is available" to stderr
Balsa emits gratuitous text to stderr:
Network is available (Mon 17 Feb 2020 07:31:51 PM EST)
This comes from g_printerr
in print_network_status
, in src/main-window.c
. This appears to be the only place where g_printerr
is invoked in balsa. Is there a reason that balsa wants to send this text to stderr, even if the user has not asked for debugging information from this particular balsa invocation?
This is not a high-priority issue -- it has only come up for me because I'm trying to write some test scripts for a framework which treats messages to stderr as errors by default. It would be nice for this purpose if balsa would only emit text to stderr when there is an actual error.
