Symbolic: Better consistency of battery level icons
When fully charged and plugged, the battery icon looks like this:
When the system is unplugged, the icon becomes green:
After one minute or so, the charge drops to 99% or less, returning to white:
There seems to be a bit of inconsistency between the coloring of the icons, and in Shell, the green background appears possibly misleading when unplugged (since it represents a "charging" state in most Android systems), also since it only appears at exactly 100%, and gets back to white in minutes when the level goes to 99%.
For example, battery-level-50-charging-symbolic looks like this:
But battery-level-40-charging-symbolic looks green again:
My personal suggestions for a color code would be:
- have battery-level-*-charging-symbolic with green background
- in battery-level-100-charging-symbolic, maybe keep the bolt outside as in all other icons, since having it inside suggests more of a "charging but with undefined level" state
- have battery-level-*-symbolic (not -charging) with white background
- drop the green background from battery-level-100-symbolic, and maybe find another way to distinguish it clearly from battery-level-90-symbolic
