Search results' in-contents highlight color is difficult to differentiate from the default theme's selection highlight color
Papers' search results do not necessarily cancel the active text selection (that's good), and it is very easy to visually confuse the two of them:
Potential solutions I can think of, for design consideration (c.c. @Teams/Design):
- Using a different, custom pair of colors (for light vs dark) for search result highlights, that does not clash with user-set highlight annotations either?
- Using a round-rectangle border around search results, instead of a filled highlight (which obscures the text anyway)? But it would need to be very visually obvious.
- Maybe combining approach no.2 with slightly dimming of the rest of the document other than the matches (i.e. a searchlight effect)?
- Something else?
