Privacy policy required (DICT protocol does not support encryption)
The DICT protocol doesn’t support encryption, so everything you lookup happens in clear-text. It may not be a good idea to lookup certain words in some countries in the world. For example, “abortion” in some US states or “democracy” in China.
Users should be warned about this on first start-up. They should also be pointed to documentation on setting up a local/offline/secure dictionary source. Ideally, the app should come with a one-click option to download and enable a local/offline/secure dictionary setup for use with the app.
