Add links to engage new contributors to the getting started guide
Since the getting started guide is shown when people first use the GNOME desktop, perhaps it would make sense to add a short paragraph to it to:
- point out that GNOME is FOSS
- mention that you can contribute to GNOME as a translator/community moderator/coder/local user group convener/designer/product manager/etc.
- link to Discourse, instructions for how to file a bug, and any other community touch points we want to highlight
The idea being that we need more contributors (not just coders), and many users probably don’t realise that the software they’re using is built by people like them.
I think a problem exists here, and it might be possible to help improve it by adding to the getting started guide. But that also might not be the best solution; input welcome from others. :)
