Description
The default IRC network list in Empathy includes irc.gimp.org / GIMPNet, which is one of the most relevant networks.
However, I think we should use the working alias irc.gnome.org / GNOME IRC to avoid the name problems around GIMP (beside the fact that the network is much more GNOME-related than GIMP-related).
The most common English definitions for "gimp" are 1. sexual or 2. derogatory to people with physical impairments. See Urban Dictionary or Google for more details (I couldn't briefly find a SFW link). Most objections to the name I can find are along the lines of "my school/work won't let me install this photo editor because of its name", so it's preventing adoption for no good reason. Fewer people will use GNOME IRC, but there's no reason to scare them away from it with a bad name.
GIMP is a photo editor, GIMPNet is a network about open source software. We don't need to associate it with the most common terminology above even if the GIMP project refuses to pick a professional name.
